Can't Get Naked Quick Enough!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to share a little something with you all as sadly I am so, so excited about it!

I was browsing through the Debenhams website just now, as I usually do when I'm a little bored, and I hopped onto the Urban Decay page and searched the famous Naked Palette, expecting as always to see it out of stock.

It wasn't!!!

I had to get it as I've wanted it for so long! Best of all, it was a little cheaper thanks to Debenhams having money off their beauty section at the minute.

I cannot wait until this gets delivered. The colours are just so me it's unreal, I am definitely a neutrals girl and every single colour appeals to me. I probably won't ever need another eyeshadow again!

I will make sure to review this once it arrives!

Have you got the Naked Palette? What do you think about it?

Summer Lips: Lipstick Recommendations

Hi everyone!

With summer fast approaching, it's time to break out the bright colours! I thought I'd do a post showing you all the lipsticks I'll be wearing in summer, they're all really affordable (except one which is MAC...) and gorgeous colours for the summer.

I took these in my wardrobe as it's so sunny outside that my dressing table was a terrible shooting spot!

Without flash:

Left to right:

Rimmel Moisture Renew 620 Coral Queen, MAC Lustering, MUA Shade 6, Maybelline Colour Sensational 148 Summer Pink

With Flash:

Same order as above.

Flash just shows the true colours a little better for you!

These are all gorgeous pinks except the Rimmel Coral Queen lipstick, which is a really punchy coral. I was wary of it at first but I've actually had loads of compliments about it when I've worn it so I urge you, if you're used to your baby and neutral pinks, be brave this summer!

Lustering is well used, as you can see! It's a gorgeous, stand out pink that I love to wear on a night out. It's a lustre finish and it looks glossy on the lips.

MUA Shade 6 was only a pound! Bargain! It's so pigmented and glides on so smoothly, it's the best lipstick formula I've tried, and for a quid it's amazing!

Maybelline Summer Pink is a lovely hot pink with slight shimmer. It's a great colour, it just doesn't apply that well. Maybe I got a dud because my other Maybelline lipsticks apply fine. It's still a beautiful colour!

Swatches, which don't showthe true colours and do the lipsticks justice, but I threw it in anyway!

So there's my Summer Lipstick Recommendations!

What will you be wearing on your lips this summer?

Time To Get Fit!

Hi everyone...

and good bye to this!

(Pictures from weheartit.com)

This is probably going to turn out to be a bit of a rambly post, so apologies about that! There's no need for you to read this, I just wanted to put my thoughts down here for extra motivation and inspiration.

So, getting fit is going to be my new priority, and I will also admit, it's not just about getting fit, it's also about losing weight.

I've always been a skinny girl, and even now if I mention diets to people they act like I'm being stupid and there's always the old chestnut of: 'there's nothing on you!' Sorry to say, there is, I just don't show it to people!

I'm also short and I don't think I'll have a growth spurt anytime soon, so I want to maintain the right weight for my height.

So here's the ugly truth. I eat all of the time. KFC, McDonalds, pizza. Crisps, chocolate, biscuits, you name it. I cannot stop myself from snacking, if I get a craving I just think about it and don't stop until I have it.

I also drink more alcohol than necessary and of course that has an affect on weight too.

I'm now in a position where I'm getting unhappy and self concious about myself, which I hate to be but I think it happens to the best of us!

So, I'm making an oath to myself to start exercising and eating healthily. I thought I could do a weekly segment on how I'm doing, as much to track my progress as to share with you all.

Any tips on good workouts and diets to follow would be so appreciated!

Thanks for reading!

Good Friday FOTD

Hi everyone!

I've been wanting to do a Face of the Day post for ages but my camera seems to be allergic to close up photos and just won't take them! However my good friend Hayley has a camera that behaves and takes great photos so I have one from Good Friday where you can see my make up quite well, so here goes!

Products Used

On my face:

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NW15

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle (very light dusting as it's so shimmery!)

Opia Blush from Primark (which doesn't have a name!)

Illamasqua Cream Blush in 'Lies' as a highlight

Me Me Me Shimmy Shimmers Palette in Gold Shimmer for bronzer

On my eyes:

MAC Woodwinked eyeshadow as an all over colour

MAC Cork eyeshadow in the crease and outer corner, and also to fill in my eyebrows

MAC Retrospeck eyeshadow as a highlight

Rimmel Carbon Gloss liquid liner

Benefit Bad Gal Mascara

On my lips:

MAC Lipstick in Bombshell

Benefit lipgloss in Life on the A List

So there's my first ever FOTD! Hope you liked it.

Recent MAC Purchases

Hi everyone!

I hope you have all had a good Easter! I've had a couple of great nights out with my girls and been spoilt with loads of chocolate eggs, yum!

I popped into MAC last week because my friend was getting a makeover, so I nosied around the store until one of the lovely ladies asked me if I wanted any help.

Uh oh. Cue asking, on the spur of the moment, to be matched to Studio Sculpt Foundation. Just to try it out.

Yep, I bought it! I also got two eyeshadows, so here they are to show you.

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation: £23.00.
Eyeshadows in 'Woodwinked' and 'Retrospeck': £11.50 each.

I was colour matched to NW15, which came as a bit of a surprise as I was NC15 in Studio Fix Fluid (which I absolutely hate!). The lovely woman who matched me was asking about my skin, which is very dry, and she said as this is gel based it will work nicely on my skin.

I must say I absolutely love this. I was worried that I'd been silly and impulsive and parted with quite a bit of money for something I might not like, but thank goodness, I love it! It's got great coverage, suits my skin perfectly, and it smells nice!

I also got two eyeshadows that I've been lusting after for a while, 'Woodwinked' and 'Retrospeck'. It was funny because 'Woodwinked' immediatly jumped out at me from the display, and I spotted 'Retrospeck' too without having turned them over to check what they were.

These are gorgeous, shimmery and very pigmented. 'Woodwinked' is a very gold, bronzey colour and it looks gorgeous. 'Retrospeck' is a more muted, champagney gold and I've only used it as a highlight so far but I think it would stand great just on it's own!

Blurry swatches as usual! (Check out the cameo print duvet!)

So, that rounds it up! Have you been hauling lately?

Haul: Superdrug - Maybelline & MUA

Hi everyone!

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend! I popped to the shops after work with my friend today and couldn't resist a browse in Superdrug. Well, there were offers on almost every brand and I was sorely tempted but ended up sticking to Maybelline as I needed a new mascara and everything was 3 for 2. I also got two things from MUA.

So here's the haul!

This is the Maybelline Eyestudio Duo in '170 Taupe Opal'. The photo doesn't do it justice as the plastic covering kept reflecting the light, but this really jumped out at me because the silver triangle is so bright and shimmery! It's a gorgeous duo and I can't wait to use it.

Individually this is £6.99.

I really wanted another Maybelline lipstick because I have two from the Pearl range and I love the colours and formulation, so I picked up a Colour Sensational Lipstick in '148 Summer Pink.' It's much brighter and pinker in real life but it's really wearable. I love it!

Individually this is £7.19.

I picked up a Colossal Volum Express Mascara as it's my HG and I needed a new one. I got the 100% black one just to try something a bit different!

Individually this is £7.19.

So with the 3 for 2 I got the Eyestudio Duo free which was great!

I also picked up two lip products from MUA, which is a range that is all priced at a measly £1! You can pick up some great stuff and I got these products because I haven't tried any of their lipsticks or glosses yet and for a pound you can't go wrong!

I got a lipgloss in Shade 1. In real life it's pinker and has really noticeable shimmer but that doesn't transfer onto the lips, it just makes them look full and shiny. This smells great and lasts ages! I will definitely be picking up more of these!

I got a lipstick in Shade 6, it's another nice pink colour that actually isn't much different to the Maybelline one! It's smooth to apply and also lasts ages, I really recommend MUA to anyone!

Blurry swatches (my hand kept shaking!)

So there's my little weekend haul!

Hope you enjoyed!

Haul: Primark & ASOS

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well and having a lovely Saturday! I managed to get to the shops yesterday so I had a little splurge in good old Primarni! I also ordered a dress and a belt from ASOS.com so I'll show you those aswell!

I had to hang the clothes up on my wardrobe then stand on my bed to take the photos (and have a sneaky jump around!) so apologies that they aren't close up or anything!

This is a really nice, patterned crochet waistcoat that I think will look gorgeous in summer thrown over a vest! My mam thinks she's really up to date on the trends and kept going, 'Ooh Natalie that's very Bohemian like Sienna Miller!' Bless her!

I really liked this top because I can imagine it looking good paired with jeans, just a simple outfit for day time. It's quite sheer and cropped so on a self concious day I'd put a vest under this.

This looks strange but it was a really good buy! It's a bit like a slip, you can put it under sheer dresses and it stops them being see through! Great idea!

This is my favourite purchase! It's a lovely, floaty, almost maxi dress. I can't wait to wear it in summer with wedges and lots of gold bangles!

This dress came in a few colours but I'm loving white at the minute so I snapped this one up! It's a lovely dress, I'm thinking of wearing it through the day on Good Friday when me and the girls hit the pubs along our gorgeous sea front.

I was in debate about these wedges, I couldn't decide if I thought they were too little girly, but my Mam convinced me! I think they'll look nice with shorts and a white vest top.

I love chunky, vintage inspired rings so this was a must have! I love the sparkly diamantes on the outside edge.

This is actually from New Look. I've wanted a bangle like this since I saw some similar designer ones featured in a magazine. Excuse my pasty skin!

I just got this out of the packaging so sorry it's creased and without a hanger! This dress and belt are from ASOS. The colour pop was a step up for me as I'm never this adventurous with colour! I'm thinking of wearing it on the night of Good Friday.

So that's what I've been buying! Have you hit the shops the week?

My 11 Most Reached For Products

Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been AWOL for a bit, I haven't really had the motivation to blog as it's been spent on getting an essay for Uni done! But I did it and now I'm off for Easter so I'll be blogging a lot more!

Today I thought I'd do my 11 Most Reached For Products! Warning, blurry photos ahead! I'm going to see my Dad tomorrow so I promise to ask him to see if he can fix my camera!

Skin Therapy Fragrance Free Facial Wipes

I've tried plenty of different facial wipes in my time, but these are the best I've found and the best part is that I can get them in Wilkinsons, 3 for 99p (or at least time I checked!). It means I always have some on hand and it's easy to stock up!
As for the wipes themselves, they're gentle on the face yet manage to make my skin feel clean. Don't worry, I don't use these to wash my face, just to remove my make up before I have a proper scrub! I couldn't live without these!

Vivienne Westwood 'Naughty Alice' Perfume: £37.00

I got this perfume for Christmas and it has quickly become my go-to perfume! Most of my perfumes are best used on a night time as they have quite heavy fragrances but this is lovely for day time which is why I'm always squirting it on!

Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream: £4.28

As I have mentioned before I am a lover of Nivea products and this is my staple moisturiser. I have very dry skin and this leaves it feeling smooth and hydrated and also has a lovely scent! There are loads of great moisturisers out there but this has always and will always be my favourite.

Carmex Lip Balm: £2.65

Sorry this is blurry! I always like to put a layer of Carmex on my lips before applying any other product as it makes them hydrated and soft. I love the Cherry flavour but I've used it up so I'm sticking with the orginal at the minute! It's a great lip balm and a staple in my daily routine.

Benefit High Beam: £18.50

Along with Illamasqua's 'Lies', this is my favourite highlighter. I love the pearly sheen it gives to my skin, it makes me look glowing! It's very liquid based but it dries quickly so you don't feel like you have gloop on your face!

MAC Cream Colour Base in 'Shell': £13.50

I've actually hit the bottom on this as I use it so much! I love this product as it's so versatile. I use it as a highlighter on my cheeks, a base for my eyes and often just as an eyeshadow as it's a gorgeous shimmery golden colour and looks great!

MAC Lipstick in 'Angel': £13.50

Angel was my first MAC liptick and as you can see I've used it a lot! This photo doesn't really show the colour but I'm sure you can look it up on MAC's website. It's a beautiful, wearable light pink that is such a go to colour! I love it!

L'Oreal Super Liner: £6.19

I usually use the Carbon Gloss liner but I left it at my friend's house so here's the Super Liner which I also love! L'Oreal liquid liners are definitely my Holy Grail liners, I never buy anything else.

Maybelline Colossal Volum Express Mascara: £6

I am a big lover of full, thick lashes and this is the best mascara I've found for that job! I'm lucky enough to have quite long eyelashes but this helps to make them look full and fluttery! Love this mascara!

Bourjois Blush Pot in Rose Brune: £7.49

This is a lovely blush, it gives a nice wash of rosy pink to the cheeks! I love Bourjois products and their blushes are definitely worth checking out!

MAC Wonder Woman Lipglass in Emancipation: £17.00

I mentioned this lipglass in my MAC Haul post but I just had to include it again here as I've been using it so much! It looks amazing on it's own, has great staying power and a lovely sheen!

Here are some swatches:

So, they are my 11 Most Reached For Products!

What I'm Using At the Moment: My Face Scrub and Face Wash

Hello everyone!

After doing a post on my favourite lip combination at the minute, I thought it would be a good idea to do a little series of posts on some products I'm using regularly, and I know I could do this in a general 'Favourites' post, but splitting them up means more posts and more in depth reviews!

So today I thought I would talk about my favourite face washing combination that I use all the time: my facial scrub and my facial cleanser.

First up is my facial scrub, and I use St Ives Apricot Scrub. I've seen this being rated badly because it is a very harsh product, the grains do scratch your face, but this works for me. I have very dry skin and this is the best scrub I've found for removing my dry, flaky skin and leaving my face super smooth! I would not reccommend it for sensitive skin though.

I have always loved Nivea products and my favourite ever face wash is thir Cleansing Cream Wash. It's pink, come on! It smells lovely, just a nice clean fragrance and it is so creamy, it feels lovely on the face. This doesn't leave my skin dry or tight like a lot of face washes can do, so thumbs up for that too!

I hope you enjoyed this post and you are all well!

My Favourite Lip Combination: Snob and Knightsbridge

Hello everyone!

If you saw my MAC haul a couple of weeks ago you'll know that I purchased 'Snob' lipstick after months of debating over it! Well, it has fast become my most favourite lipstick and I wear it all of the time!

I find it needs a gloss to perk it up a little though and I have found the perfect match in Eyeko's London Lips lipgloss in the shade 'Knightsbridge'. It's a candy, bubblegum pink and it compliments Snob beautifully!

Here they are together:

I'm still fumbling around with my camera so apologies again for the crap quality! And the finger in the lens, I could never make it as a photographer!

Don't know how well you'll be able to see but this is the combination on my lips. I wore them for our girly night out on Friday, which is why I look a bit dazed (damn you, double Vodka and coke!)

So that's what I've been using religiously lately! I'm so glad I bit the bullet and got Snob because I couldn't be without it now!

Hope you are all well!
