My 11 Most Reached For Products

Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been AWOL for a bit, I haven't really had the motivation to blog as it's been spent on getting an essay for Uni done! But I did it and now I'm off for Easter so I'll be blogging a lot more!

Today I thought I'd do my 11 Most Reached For Products! Warning, blurry photos ahead! I'm going to see my Dad tomorrow so I promise to ask him to see if he can fix my camera!

Skin Therapy Fragrance Free Facial Wipes

I've tried plenty of different facial wipes in my time, but these are the best I've found and the best part is that I can get them in Wilkinsons, 3 for 99p (or at least time I checked!). It means I always have some on hand and it's easy to stock up!
As for the wipes themselves, they're gentle on the face yet manage to make my skin feel clean. Don't worry, I don't use these to wash my face, just to remove my make up before I have a proper scrub! I couldn't live without these!

Vivienne Westwood 'Naughty Alice' Perfume: £37.00

I got this perfume for Christmas and it has quickly become my go-to perfume! Most of my perfumes are best used on a night time as they have quite heavy fragrances but this is lovely for day time which is why I'm always squirting it on!

Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream: £4.28

As I have mentioned before I am a lover of Nivea products and this is my staple moisturiser. I have very dry skin and this leaves it feeling smooth and hydrated and also has a lovely scent! There are loads of great moisturisers out there but this has always and will always be my favourite.

Carmex Lip Balm: £2.65

Sorry this is blurry! I always like to put a layer of Carmex on my lips before applying any other product as it makes them hydrated and soft. I love the Cherry flavour but I've used it up so I'm sticking with the orginal at the minute! It's a great lip balm and a staple in my daily routine.

Benefit High Beam: £18.50

Along with Illamasqua's 'Lies', this is my favourite highlighter. I love the pearly sheen it gives to my skin, it makes me look glowing! It's very liquid based but it dries quickly so you don't feel like you have gloop on your face!

MAC Cream Colour Base in 'Shell': £13.50

I've actually hit the bottom on this as I use it so much! I love this product as it's so versatile. I use it as a highlighter on my cheeks, a base for my eyes and often just as an eyeshadow as it's a gorgeous shimmery golden colour and looks great!

MAC Lipstick in 'Angel': £13.50

Angel was my first MAC liptick and as you can see I've used it a lot! This photo doesn't really show the colour but I'm sure you can look it up on MAC's website. It's a beautiful, wearable light pink that is such a go to colour! I love it!

L'Oreal Super Liner: £6.19

I usually use the Carbon Gloss liner but I left it at my friend's house so here's the Super Liner which I also love! L'Oreal liquid liners are definitely my Holy Grail liners, I never buy anything else.

Maybelline Colossal Volum Express Mascara: £6

I am a big lover of full, thick lashes and this is the best mascara I've found for that job! I'm lucky enough to have quite long eyelashes but this helps to make them look full and fluttery! Love this mascara!

Bourjois Blush Pot in Rose Brune: £7.49

This is a lovely blush, it gives a nice wash of rosy pink to the cheeks! I love Bourjois products and their blushes are definitely worth checking out!

MAC Wonder Woman Lipglass in Emancipation: £17.00

I mentioned this lipglass in my MAC Haul post but I just had to include it again here as I've been using it so much! It looks amazing on it's own, has great staying power and a lovely sheen!

Here are some swatches:

So, they are my 11 Most Reached For Products!

TAG: My Beauty Story

Hi everyone!

I've seen this tag on a few blogs and thought it would be a nice post to do, so here goes!

1. How old were you when you first started wearing makeup?

I remember my very first make up product! I was about five and I had a Barbie lipbalm that smelled (and tasted!) like strawberries. It was bright pink and the lid was in the shape of Barbie's upper body. I used to love it until I took it to dancing class and lost it!

As for wearing make up properly, it was about Year Nine of school. It wasn't the full package, usually just eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss, and the effect didn't really last through the whole school day!

It's quite recently that I've gotten the make up bug and started a little obsession with it!

2. How did you get into makeup?

I've always loved doing makeovers on myself and messing around with make up, but when I discovered beauty blogs and the Youtube beauty community, I started learning what was really good for me, what suited me and what I really liked!

3. What are your favourite brands?

MAC definitely! Bourjois is second, followed by Benefit, and I also love Gosh's nail polishes and a lot of stuff from Rimmel.

4. What does makeup mean to you?
It means being creative, feeling confident and experimenting! I just love the wide range of colours, textures, shades, how make up can totally transform a person. I think make up can inspire you.

5. If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be?

Foundation, blusher, mascara and lipgloss.

6. What is your favourite thing about makeup?

The different colours and textures and how everything does something different and can transform you!

7. What do you think of drugstore makeup vs high end?

I think you can get amazing products from drugstores. I hate the high end snobbery and although I love MAC the most, I don't for a minute think that cheaper brands are worse quality. Of course it always differs, but for example my Creme Cup lipstick from MAC totally melted once, and I know it's to do with the formula but I was still disappointed!

8. What is one tip of advice you would give to a beginner?

Just experiment, mess around until you find what you like and what suits you! Don't fall into the trap of buying things because magazines say they're the best: find what's best for you!

9. What is one makeup trend you never understood?

When girls put foundation on their lips and nothing else! It looks awful.

10. What do you think of the beauty blogging community?

I love it! I'm an avid reader and now I'm proud to have my own little blog! You get great reviews and find great products!

Hope you enjoyed reading!
