Recent MAC Purchases

Hi everyone!

I hope you have all had a good Easter! I've had a couple of great nights out with my girls and been spoilt with loads of chocolate eggs, yum!

I popped into MAC last week because my friend was getting a makeover, so I nosied around the store until one of the lovely ladies asked me if I wanted any help.

Uh oh. Cue asking, on the spur of the moment, to be matched to Studio Sculpt Foundation. Just to try it out.

Yep, I bought it! I also got two eyeshadows, so here they are to show you.

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation: £23.00.
Eyeshadows in 'Woodwinked' and 'Retrospeck': £11.50 each.

I was colour matched to NW15, which came as a bit of a surprise as I was NC15 in Studio Fix Fluid (which I absolutely hate!). The lovely woman who matched me was asking about my skin, which is very dry, and she said as this is gel based it will work nicely on my skin.

I must say I absolutely love this. I was worried that I'd been silly and impulsive and parted with quite a bit of money for something I might not like, but thank goodness, I love it! It's got great coverage, suits my skin perfectly, and it smells nice!

I also got two eyeshadows that I've been lusting after for a while, 'Woodwinked' and 'Retrospeck'. It was funny because 'Woodwinked' immediatly jumped out at me from the display, and I spotted 'Retrospeck' too without having turned them over to check what they were.

These are gorgeous, shimmery and very pigmented. 'Woodwinked' is a very gold, bronzey colour and it looks gorgeous. 'Retrospeck' is a more muted, champagney gold and I've only used it as a highlight so far but I think it would stand great just on it's own!

Blurry swatches as usual! (Check out the cameo print duvet!)

So, that rounds it up! Have you been hauling lately?

Haul: Primark & ASOS

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well and having a lovely Saturday! I managed to get to the shops yesterday so I had a little splurge in good old Primarni! I also ordered a dress and a belt from ASOS.com so I'll show you those aswell!

I had to hang the clothes up on my wardrobe then stand on my bed to take the photos (and have a sneaky jump around!) so apologies that they aren't close up or anything!

This is a really nice, patterned crochet waistcoat that I think will look gorgeous in summer thrown over a vest! My mam thinks she's really up to date on the trends and kept going, 'Ooh Natalie that's very Bohemian like Sienna Miller!' Bless her!

I really liked this top because I can imagine it looking good paired with jeans, just a simple outfit for day time. It's quite sheer and cropped so on a self concious day I'd put a vest under this.

This looks strange but it was a really good buy! It's a bit like a slip, you can put it under sheer dresses and it stops them being see through! Great idea!

This is my favourite purchase! It's a lovely, floaty, almost maxi dress. I can't wait to wear it in summer with wedges and lots of gold bangles!

This dress came in a few colours but I'm loving white at the minute so I snapped this one up! It's a lovely dress, I'm thinking of wearing it through the day on Good Friday when me and the girls hit the pubs along our gorgeous sea front.

I was in debate about these wedges, I couldn't decide if I thought they were too little girly, but my Mam convinced me! I think they'll look nice with shorts and a white vest top.

I love chunky, vintage inspired rings so this was a must have! I love the sparkly diamantes on the outside edge.

This is actually from New Look. I've wanted a bangle like this since I saw some similar designer ones featured in a magazine. Excuse my pasty skin!

I just got this out of the packaging so sorry it's creased and without a hanger! This dress and belt are from ASOS. The colour pop was a step up for me as I'm never this adventurous with colour! I'm thinking of wearing it on the night of Good Friday.

So that's what I've been buying! Have you hit the shops the week?

Upcoming Elf Haul

Hi everyone!

I have just made an order from Elf - also known as eyeslipsface.com and I thought I'd share with you what I'm expecting! I've been busy with it being the last couple of weeks before Easter at Uni so I haven't blogged much, or shopped much so I've had nothing to share!

So here's what I ordered. (Images are from Google so credit to whoever actually took them!)

The Smudge Eye sponge is only £1.50 so I thought I'd try it out as I love smudging out eyeliner and creating soft edges with my eyeshadow.

The Cream Eyeliner Duo in Black Licorice, this is also £1.50! Bargain! I prefer cream formulas, I think they look more pigmented and stay on longer. This will be great for a night time smokey eye look.

I've been searching for a nude polish for a while but didn't want to spend much as I can only wear nail polish when I'm not at work, so at £1.50 again this was a steal!

I always get pink toned blushers so as summer is fast approaching I wanted to try a more peachy toned blush as I'm loving the coral trend in make up at the moment! This is the Natural Radiance Blusher in Glow and was again £1.50.

Lastly I picked up the Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Sunkissed, as my Rimmel bronzer smashed in my suitcase when I went to visit my friend! This was also £1.50.

So with delivery charge this came to £10.25, what a bargain! I've ordered from Elf before and not been disappointed so I'm really excited for this to arrive! I'll be doing a post on it so stay tuned!

Hope you are all well

MAC Haul

Hi everyone!

Sorry for my lack of posts over the past week, I've been busy with university and work and then I had a mad moment when I thought I'd chucked my camera lead out, but thankfully I found it!

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was awaiting a few things from MAC, and to my delight they came just two days later! Well done MAC!

Here's what I got (please excuse the bad quality photos, my camera is very new and I can't work out how to stop it blurring):

First up is Snob lipstick. This has a Satin finish and is described by MAC as a 'ladylike mauve'.
I had always seen this on counters and been drawn to it, but shied away and stuck to my failsafe pinks like 'Angel' and 'Creme Cup'. However I finally picked this up and I am so, so glad I did!

The lipstick is wonderfully creamy and the colour pay off is amazing! I thought it would be hard to wear but it's a gorgeous, wearable colour and looks great both day and night time!

I thought it would be hard to overthrow 'Angel' as my number one MAC lipstick but I think 'Snob' has done it! Absolutely love this!

I also got two eyeshadows in Cork and Shroom.

These are my first MAC eyeshadows and I'm really glad I invested in them. 'Cork' is a satin finish and is described by MAC as a muted golden brown. It needs a little work to get a good colour pay off but it looks amazing on and is so wearable, I've just been using it on a daytime but it would be a great night time smokey eye too!

'Shroom' is also a satin and MAC describes it as a soft muted golden beige with opalescent shimmer. You can really notice the shimmer but in a lovely, subtle way. It is a brilliant highlight for the browbone and tear duct area, I just love it!

Oh dear, this is blurry! Never mind, I'm sure you've all seen pictures of this already!

This is the lipglass in Emancipation from the recent Wonder Woman collection. It's a great size but a big downside is that the brush is hard to pull out of the tube and you end up spattering the product everywhere!

However the colour is just gorgeous, described by MAC as a pale neutral pink, but I think it also has some slight peachy, corally tones. This is beautiful just on its own, and the texture is ever so slightly sticky, but just in the way that you feel it will stay on your lips for a long time, which it does!

So there's what I got from MAC! I'm a very happy bunny with those purchases!

Hope you are all well

Welcome! & A River Island Haul

Hello there and welcome to my blog!

I'm Natalie, and I'm a self-confessed shopaholic from North East England. I'm always reading blogs and since I love writing I thought it was about time I started my own, so I really hope you will enjoy following me on my blogging journey!

To start things off, here's a little River Island Haul. I popped into my local shop today for a nosey because I luckily had £100 to spend, courtesy of passing a Mystery Shop at work :)

Here's what I bought:

I absolutely love River Island bags and I was in need of a new bag for University so I couldn't resist this gorgeous cream bag when I spotted it. The strap and top flap are a shiny, smooth patent material and the actual body of the bag is covered in lace detailing.
The bag currently retails at £39.99.

I was drawn to this top becuase of my ongoing Peter Pan collar obsession! It's not exactly a collar, the lace detailing is sown onto the top. I think this top is perfect for those sort of smart/casual drinks and outings when you want to look glam but still dressed down.
This top retails at £26.99.

Lastly I managed to find the Henry Holland suspender tights I have been searching for! I've seen quite a few girls wearing these lately and they look sexy without being slutty or over the top. I can't wait to wear them.
The tights retail at £12.00.

So that was what I picked up today from River Island and needless to say I was a very happy bunny with my purchases! I hope they give you a small insight into my sense of style too!

So there's my first post, and here's to many more to come!
Thanks for reading!

Love Natalie x
